Vidista Help

Vidista is a complicated website and it can take some time to discover all of its features. The Help section should provide you with a useful guide to using these features.

Start by clicking on one of the Help Channel links listed in the bottom panel. Then select topics from the playlist, or use the navigation buttons to view them in sequence.

Note: If you would like to view an entire Help Channel in a new window, click on the icon next to the Help Channel link.

Site Layout and Terminology

  • Player Window (yellow) - the area in the center of the screen where videos play.
  • Panels (blue) - the three areas that surround the Player Window. The left panel is the "Channels" panel, the bottom panel is the "Playlist" panel, and the right panel is the "Videos" panel.
  • Links - clickable text that leads to a new page or calls a function.
  • Buttons - clickable areas that call a function. Usually buttons consist of an icon and text inside a small box that looks like this:

  • Tabs - clickable areas at the top of the left and right panels that reveal lists of channels or videos.
  • Forms - areas containing input fields where you can enter information.
